This Memorial Day finds us with an interesting advancement in American acceptance and I also feel in many ways respect. Since the fight that Robert Stewart took up on behalf of her husband Sgt. Patrick Stewart, a Wiccan solider, to have the pentacle included as a grave marker for Wiccan and other Pagan fallen soldiers the acceptance level has risen for those Pagans who have died for America.

As the Pagan grave marker issue stands today, with information from the US Department of Veterans Affairs and the Circle Times through the Circle Sanctuary we present the following:

Two Pagan grave markers have been placed for soldiers from World War II

Three Pagan grave markers have been placed for soldiers from the Korean War

Seven Pagan grave markers have been placed for soldiers from Vietnam

Twenty-six total Pagan grave markers have been placed with two being an interfaith showing for the wives of fallen soldiers.

Selena Fox has done a full report on the issue which will be published in the next Circle Magazine going to press in June.
