Emerald Rose is Simple Abnormality’s pick for this week’s professionals. More than just a general music band, these guys are also a great group to camp out with as I learned one year during Autumn Meet; being able to listen to Larry play the pennywhistle after breakfast in the misty morning woods was a beautiful experience.

North Georgia denizens Logan Sullivan, Larry Morris, Aurthur Hinds and Cylde Gilbert created Emerald Rose back in 1996 and it’s been a non-stop growth for them ever since. Currently, they have released five CD’s of pagan flavored Celtic American Folk Rock with Con Suite being the latest one.

The boys have played on two soundtracks and headlined The Lord of the Rings Oscar parties back in 2003 and 2004. They also began doing Ireland tours that gather a group once a year to go back “home”. And that is all in addition to still playing local spots in their home state, as well as playing for con’s all across the country.

Co-founder of the The British Visionary Artists Group, Neil Geddes-Ward is an extraordinary Pagan artist who has helped to establish what is now known as Pagan and Visionary Art.

His work has been displayed at The Centre For Pagan Studies and he was commissioned by The Rollright Trust to create a work from the Neolithic sites in Oxfordshire. Book illustrations and his own book of art entitled Faeriecraft: Treading the Path of Faerie Magic with his wife Alicen have cemented his work in the landscape of our century’s influential Pagan artists.

Neil and his wife, Alicen have also founded the Orkney Faerie Museum and Gallery in Skelwick, Westray.

Cora Anderson co-founder of the Feri Tradition and spiritual sister/mother to many within the neo-paganism awakening here in America crossed over yesterday on Beltane. She was 93 years old.

Cora came into our world on January 26th 1915 in Alabama. Born as a coal miner’s daughter and raised in a family tradition of healing, Cora started in this world with an interesting and challenging foundation having lost her mother when she was only one year old. She moved from Alabama to Oregon in the early 1940’s where she continued to grow connected to the new land that surrounded her.

In Oregon she met her beloved mate and other founder of the Feri Tradition in husband Victor Anderson. They married on May 3rd 1944.

Though we know and understand that she now with her Victor, we will deeply miss her presence on this plane.

And never give it away.
