This month, I’ll be starting off a series of themes here at Simple Abnormality. Going to get back to the writing that I do so much enjoy and that means getting back to the “What is…” series as well.

January is a month of possibilities. A fresh start, or at least an excuse to take on a fresh start and run with it. There are many things that I would like to do here with this blog, just as there are many things that I would like to do in other areas, the rub of it is being able to maintain a balance point.

One of the things that will be happening here is a new design. I’ve gotten the e-mails and I know that the site is not easy to navigate. Getting the site redone is a work in progress and on the list of things to do.

So, what are some other things that will be going on here? Well, there will be a resurgence of features such as the Pagan Professional of the Week and Tuesday’s Pagan Art. I’m not really going to focus on Pagan music unless I have a song that I want to share with you.

Just wanted to pop in with a bit of an update. I’ve been quite sick the past few weeks, that resulted last week in having a couple of trips to the hospital. On the upside, I am getting better and feeling much better.

I’ve had a wonderful holiday season so far. Lots of love, family and of course cookies that add up to a lot of memories made this past week.

A couple of gifts that I wanted to share with you are the two Strangeling resins that I recieved.  I’ve featured Strangeling artist and creator Jasmine Becket-Griffith here before at Simple Abnormality and really enjoy her work. Once we get the camera uploaded, I’ll post a shot of the resins that I got.

I hope everyone had a great holiday season, under any religion that they chose and even if you don’t have a personal faith … then I hope your past week has been as peacful as possible.

There will be no update tomorrow, but there will be another Pagan artist up for Tuesday.

The following is moon information for the month of December 2008:

Dec. 12th - Full Moon

Dec. 13th thru 14th - Geminids Meteor Shower. This meteor shower is said to be one of the best to view in part due to the Geminids producing up to 60 multi-colored meteors per hour.  You can learn more about the Geminids shower at MeteorShowersOnline.com

Dec. 21st - Winter Solstice. The RTE and Heritage Ireland did stream live the Winter Solstice at Newgrange last year. There’s no word on if they will be doing it again but if I do hear something about it, I’ll let you know.

Okay, here we are going to take a look at some gifts for Pagan Kids. As I did with the pagan gift ideas for the adults, I am going to stay away from the norm of books and magical supplies.
