Samhain shona duit! I hope that you all have a wonderful holiday no matter what path of faith the you are on.
I am very excited about this years celebration and oddly enough preparded this year to deal with all that must be done. I am hopeful, happy and ready to set those extra plates at the table for my ancestors.
In light of the holiday, I will be off line until after the sunrise of November 3rd. That includes this blog here, e-mails and the other sites that I write for.

Personal religion matters to the people who believe in their faiths. While some faiths may allow for a level of tolerance and acceptance towards individuals or group beliefs in a variety of faiths, there are others who hold within a cornerstone of their faith that their own religious path is the only way.
The human condition is rife with religious discord and unfortunately it is those who have the tolerant faiths who sometimes find themselves fighting for their right to believe in what they do.
Does it matter on a personal level if your neighbor is of a different faith? Does it matter that a politician or other public servant has a faith that is not like your own? It shouldn’t matter at all.

Bill Maher’s new documentary Religulous opens nation wide today and I for one am excited to see it. I’m also excited about the various religious discussions that will be taking place because of this documentary.
My favorite quote from Maher so far is this:
“I think the biggest surprise we found out making the movie was that religious people don’t know much about religion,” Maher said in an interview.
I love that quote for one main reason, Maher is right. The majority of religious followers in the mainstream are only aware of what they have been told through their local churches and that makes them a prime target for an intelligent comedian like Bill Maher.
I am hoping that here soon, I’ll be able to do a full review of the movie. In the meantime check out the trailer below.
And if you are going to check out the movie today, leave a comment at let me know what you thought of it.

Yes, here we are in October with Samhain looming on the horizon and I know that it is time to get back to business.
Last month was awash in frustrations and overwhelming business. The old adage of some much to do and not enough time to do it in certainly took precedence. September seemed to be bogged down with a lack of time, lack of rest and a lack of action. Because of last month it has occurred to me that I need to take a better hold of my projects and sadly need to let a few of them go. …read full article…
